Presswood pallets
Moulded pallets pressed from wood fibre, nestable for storage and transport efficiency, commonly used for one-way movements.
Request a quotePresswood pallets are formed under heat and pressure from wood fibre rather than assembled from sawn boards. They nest, which means a stack of empties takes far less space than the equivalent stack of conventional timber pallets — a real advantage where empty storage or return transport is a cost.
They are widely used for one-way export movements and for lightweight goods where a full timber pallet is more structure than the load needs. They are not a washdown material: where wet cleaning or washdown is the requirement, that points to plastic rather than presswood. Suitability should be assessed per operation.
Presswood's manufacturing process is relevant to international movements, but the applicable requirements depend on the material's classification and the destination's rules. This is exactly the kind of question that needs checking per consignment rather than assuming.
Typical uses
- One-way export movements
- Lightweight goods and airfreight-adjacent handling
- Operations short of empty pallet storage space
- Applications where nail-free surfaces are preferred
Before you order
- Nesting saves considerable space, which can matter more than unit price in constrained port-side warehousing.
- Whether presswood satisfies a given destination's packaging requirements depends on that destination's rules and the material classification — always check before shipping.
- Moulded pallets behave differently in racking from conventional timber; confirm compatibility.
What we do not claim about this range
- We do not state a blanket exemption from any phytosanitary or packaging requirement for presswood.
