Pallet range
Euro-size pallets — 1200 x 800 mm
Pallets in the 1200 x 800 mm footprint. This is a dimension, not an EPAL-licensed pallet, and we do not present it as one.
Request a quoteThe 1200 x 800 mm footprint is the standard across much of continental Europe and appears constantly in UK ports because of inbound short-sea and deep-sea traffic. It is narrower than the UK footprint, which changes trailer loading patterns and racking utilisation.
An important distinction, and one this site takes seriously: a pallet measuring 1200 x 800 mm is not automatically an EPAL pallet. EPAL is a licensed exchange system with its own manufacturing, marking, repair and inspection requirements administered by the European Pallet Association. A pallet is only an EPAL pallet if it was made or repaired under that licence and marked accordingly.
We supply the 1200 x 800 footprint as a dimension. If your operation genuinely requires licensed exchange-pool pallets, that is a different requirement and should be stated explicitly in your enquiry so it can be assessed properly rather than assumed.
Typical uses
- Cargo continuing into or arriving from continental Europe
- Racking and handling systems designed around the 800 mm depth
- Operations standardised on the narrower footprint for trailer utilisation
- Short-sea and RoRo trailer freight
Before you order
- State clearly whether you need the footprint or the licensed pool pallet. They are different products with different sourcing routes.
- Movements into the EU raise destination wood packaging requirements that must be checked per consignment.
- Mixing 1200 x 800 and 1200 x 1000 in one trailer wastes floor space and complicates load restraint.
What we do not claim about this range
- We do not describe 1200 x 800 pallets as EPAL pallets, and we make no claim to be an EPAL licensee.
- We do not claim any pallet is eligible for exchange in a pooled system.
- We do not publish load ratings.
