Plastic pallets

Moulded plastic pallets for hygiene-critical, washdown, closed-loop and automated handling applications.

Plastic pallets are specified where timber's characteristics get in the way: environments needing washdown, operations where splinters or loose nails are unacceptable, closed-loop circuits where the same pallets return repeatedly, and automated systems that need very tight dimensional tolerance.

Around ports, the clearest use cases are chilled and produce handling — Portsmouth's produce trade, the Grimsby seafood cluster, Plymouth's fishing sector — and pharmaceutical or high-care operations where contamination control governs the specification.

Plastic pallets also sit outside the scope of wood packaging phytosanitary rules, because those rules apply to wood. That does not make an international movement automatically simpler: other packaging, waste and product rules can still apply, and the movement should still be checked.

Typical uses

  • Chilled, produce and seafood handling requiring washdown
  • Pharmaceutical and high-care environments
  • Closed-loop circuits where pallets return
  • Automated handling requiring tight tolerances

Before you order

  • Higher unit cost usually only pays back in genuinely closed-loop use; open one-way distribution rarely justifies it.
  • Check compatibility with your existing racking, conveyors and handling equipment before switching footprint or design.
  • Plastic is outside the scope of wood packaging phytosanitary requirements, but other regulations may still apply to your movement.

What we do not claim about this range

  • We do not claim food-contact or pharmaceutical approval for any product without documented evidence supplied with it.
  • We do not publish load ratings.
  • We do not claim plastic pallets remove any regulatory obligation from your shipment.

Your details

We need your name, a line about what you need, a rough quantity, a postcode, and one way to reach you — email or phone, not both. Everything else is optional, and UNKNOWN is always an acceptable answer.

Give us an email address or a phone number — whichever you prefer. You do not need both.

Where the pallets are going or being collected from. Put UNKNOWN if you do not know it yet.

What you need

A rough description is enough. We will come back to you with the questions that matter.

Plain words are fine — “about 200”, “a lorry load”, “two pallets a week” or UNKNOWN all work.

I agree that Port Pallets may store these details and contact me about this enquiry. Enquiries are assessed individually; no price, stock, load rating or delivery date is confirmed by this form.
